CarePortal Shopping Project #2 (MORNING)

Date & Time:

Saturday, October 5, 2019
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

5 have signed up & 5 openings remain.

As an innovative online platform, CarePortal connects churches with real-time needs from the desks of social workers. CarePortal bridges the gap between children in crisis and churches who want to help, creating opportunities for meaningful connections to happen. In under 3 years, there have been over 4,400 kids served through CarePortal in El Paso County.

What to expect: Volunteers will be divided into teams and will be given a list of items to buy for an at-risk family to help meet a CarePortal request. The project leaders will accompany the groups to the store to pay for the items. The volunteers will then help deliver the items, possibly to the families' residence. Volunteers will meet at Pulpit Rock Church.

Age Requirement: 12+. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What to wear: No special requirements.

What to bring: They will need some volunteers that are able to drive.

Rally Details: Because you are serving in the Northeast area on CityServe Day, you will be rallying at Village Seven (see map for details) at 8am. Join us at the Northeast Rally to pray and grab some coffee before you head to serve. One of our local Pastors will pray over you before you go out to serve the Northeast side of Colorado Springs.
