Family Promise - New Promise Family Shelter (MORNING)

Description:

The mission of Family Promise is to help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through community-base response. 

What to expect: Volunteers will be providing assistance at our Family Shelter. The projects will include gardening, grounds keeping, cleaning, weatherization of the guest rooms, basic maintenance, etc.

Age Requirement: All ages are welcome! (Parent or guardian must be present)

What to wear:  Please wear a mask.

What to bring:  Please bring gloves, a water bottle, trash bags and gardening tools

Parking instructions: There is limited parking for staff and guest families at New Promise Family Shelter, so volunteers should park on the road near The Vanguard Elementary School on E. St. Elmo Street.

Meeting Spot: Volunteers will meet at the front entrance of New Promise Family Shelter

COVID-19 Details: Due to the COVID pandemic, please practice safety measures while volunteering. It is required that you wear a mask and stay 6 feet a part at all times. The only exception is for family units that live in the same household. We ask that you wash your hands before and after your project. Please refrain from touching your face or unnecessary surfaces throughout volunteering. The health of all volunteers is important to us!
