Nursery Design #1 (Half Day)

Date & Time:

Saturday, October 3, 2020
9:00 AM - 1:30 PM

3 have signed up & 0 openings remain.

This project will be partnering with a local designer to implement a nursery makeover for a new mom. This mom is connected with Life Network, and is part of the LifeSteps program, which equips teen and first-time parents with both foundational parenting education and vital material resources from pregnancy until their child’s second birthday.

What to expect: Volunteers will be helping with a nursery makeover for a new mom. The correct address will be sent to you closer to CityServe Day. While this project is marked "all day" it could be shorter depending on how quickly the re-design goes. Please be flexible and prepared to adjust as needed. Your job as a volunteer at this project is to assist the designer.

We will NOT be painting at this location, since it’s an apartment. We will be organizing, assembling a few furniture pieces, hanging curtains and decorating, of course!

PLEASE BRING A SNACK OR LUCNH, since it's over the lunch hour.

Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 14+

What to bring:  Please wear a mask. Bring a snack or lunch. You will be in another individual's home and we'd like you to practice safety precautions. While we will provide general sanitizing items, please bring hand sanitizer and practice social distancing as best you can.

What to wear: Volunteers should wear clothes appropriate for painting.

Contact Day of: Jen Ferrell (Designer)

COVID-19 Details: Due to the COVID pandemic, please practice safety measures while volunteering. It is required that you wear a mask and stay 6 feet a part at all times. The only exception is for family units that live in the same household. We ask that you wash your hands before and after your project. Please refrain from touching your face or unnecessary surfaces throughout volunteering. The health of all volunteers is important to us!
