KPC Respite Center and Nursery offers respite care for children in Colorado Springs. Temporary crisis and planned childcare for infants and young children at no cost to parents or guardians. This program has been open to families since 2004 and has provided hundreds of families with relief and support.

What to expect: Volunteers will help with landscaping work in the front and back yard, some weeding and some cleaning and disinfecting.

Age Requirement: Volunteers must be 11+

What to wear:  Please wear a mask and comfortable work clothes.

What to bring: Please bring gloves, a water bottle, gardening tools and trash bags. 

Parking instructions: Please park overflow cars in Ascension Lutheran Church parking lot. 

Meeting Spot: Volunteers will meet in the KPC Respite Center driveway.

COVID-19 Details: Due to the COVID pandemic, please practice safety measures while volunteering. It is required that you wear a mask and stay 6 feet a part at all times. The only exception is for family units that live in the same household. We ask that you wash your hands before and after your project. Please refrain from touching your face or unnecessary surfaces throughout volunteering. The health of all volunteers is important to us!
