Mercy's Gate Drop Off Support (MORNING)

Mercy's Gate has an on-site food pantry, that offers a holistic range of services including rental and utility assistance, transportation and clothing vouchers, medical and prescription assistance, tax services, and spiritual support and church referrals.

What to expect: Volunteers will be supporting the donation drive that will be occurring at Mercy's Gate. Collecting food from donors, filling out donation slips, stacking food into crates, and moving crates of food/organizing. This project requires a lot of moving, lifting and organizing. Not ideal for those with limited mobility or very young children. There will also be some moving of food and vacuuming storeroom.

If you'd also like to bring an item to donate, below are the items that are being collected during the donation drop-off:

  • Cereal
  • Canned Fruit
  • Pasta
  • Ramen
  • Rice
  • Snacks (Individually wrapped)
  • Soup (Condensed or chunky)
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Canned chicken
  • Canned meals (Chili, stews, and ravioli)
  • Laundry detergent
  • Toiletries (Toothpaste,  toothbrushes, bars of soap, shampoo, deodorant, razors, and shaving cream)
  • Toilet Paper
  • Diapers and Wipes

Age Requirement: Sr. High +, Parental supervision required. Not ideal for very young children!

What to wear:  Please wear comfortable work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Please wear closed-toed shoes.

What to bring: Work gloves

Parking instructions: Please park in the main parking lot.

Meeting Spot: Volunteers will meet at the front of Mercy's Gate.
