Description:

Working Fusion is a homeless prevention initiative. Working Fusion is a tiny home village for at risk young people in the city of Colorado Springs. It's in the early stages of being built, volunteers will be helping to beautify the campus

What to expect: Volunteers will be helping us start the second phase of landscaping in the village. With the help of COS I Love You volunteers, we were able to complete more than we ever imagined last year. We'll be cleaning the area, moving gravel, laying mulch, pulling weeds and planting plants. All things landscaping!

Age Requirement: Family Friendly, all ages welcome, but parental/adult supervision is required for minors.

Physical Requirements: Volunteers should come prepared to do a lot of squatting, bending, and carrying.

What to wear: Closed-toed shoes/good pair of boots, work clothes. We will be outdoors so please wear hat & sunscreen. Depending on the weather, please wear layers to keep warm.

What to bring: Please bring work gloves, shovels, and a garden trowel if you have one. Please bring what you have.

Parking instructions: On the street, at the corner of Sierra Madre and Fountain St.

Meeting Spot:  We will plan to meet in the northeast corner of the village by the conex container. We'll have the gate open on the Fountain Blvd. side for them to enter the village.

Day of Contact: Ashley Burns, ashley@wefortify.org
